As a child, I built a tree house which was really just a board balanced between a tall birch tree and a corner where the fence formed a 90 degree angle, but I was hidden by foliage and spent whole days there with a book and some apples.

It's equally exciting to recognize ourselves in our children and to discern parts of them that are not us at all. I regret that I didn't know enough when they were very young to ask them about their previous lifetimes, before they forgot.heartinsanfranciscohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07535397382991383931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806285951476851034.post-78192978694042762992010-02-16T22:07:02.880-05:002010-02-16T22:07:02.880-05:00I've got spring fever now, but all the trees a...I've got spring fever now, but all the trees are wearing white.
I'll have to wait.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07350532214928944088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806285951476851034.post-25720669129666177692010-02-16T09:38:02.891-05:002010-02-16T09:38:02.891-05:00This was a marvelous piece. I still visit a favorite, still lean against it, or press my hands to its bark, listening, dreaming. It's such a peaceful, energizing thing to do.Paulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14555472024981357622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806285951476851034.post-24575728626490348202010-02-15T21:39:26.967-05:002010-02-15T21:39:26.967-05:00I spent a lot of time in trees when I was younger,...I spent a lot of time in trees when I was younger, although I will admit, ususally with a book.ArtSparkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04875996639432864367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806285951476851034.post-22615635040627329792010-02-15T16:46:46.260-05:002010-02-15T16:46:46.260-05:00I agree that you would benefit from time spent amo...I agree that you would benefit from time spent among the branches. What a magical story this post is! Time collapses, moving forwards and backwards. Wow.

Wells are powerful in so many fairytales and hence pretty powerful in "real" life, if you ask me.

Do you have Lyme disease? Yikes. Hope not.Reya Mellickerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13076092659507965666noreply@blogger.com
